Bryce HollowaySales Manager
Bryce joined Apex Environmental in January 2017. He has a background in process and fluid engineering as well as working in design and prototyping. Bryce has also been involved in project management. He has studied business management at Auckland University focusing on business, commercial law, economics and accounting.
Heiko FranzProject Engineer
Heiko is an Environmental Engineer, a professional member of IPENZ and a chartered engineer. He has a background in water and wastewater plant design and commissioning, with considerable experience in flow monitoring. He joined Apex Environmental in 2012 as a Design Engineer and is now in a project engineering role where he oversees the design, construction and commissioning of projects. He also conducts pilot plant trials and is involved in R&D within the company.
Murray ChapmanProject Manager
Murray has extensive experience in both the agricultural and horticultural industries and has gained a great deal of technical knowledge over his working life. He joined the company in late 2011 and plays a real hands on role with installations. Murray has managed projects across the winery, dairy and food & beverage sectors and is experienced in the installation of Membrane Bioreactors.
Michael SpeerProject Manager
Michael joined Apex Environmental in January 2016 as a project manager, moving to Timaru from Melbourne, Australia. He studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Melbourne and graduated with Honours in 2011. He then went on to work as a field engineer in the water and waste water treatment industry in Melbourne . Michael brings a great deal of expertise and skills in areas such as chemical systems and process optimisation to his role at Apex.
Matt MorrisProject Manager
Matt joined the Apex team in December 2016 moving across from Melbourne, Australia where he worked as a Field Engineer in the wastewater industry. He graduated from RMIT University with a degree in Chemical Engineering with First Class Honours. Matt brings great skills and expertise to his position at Apex Environmental.
Elizabeth van BeekAdmin Manager
Elizabeth has a background in management and worked for many years in Melbourne and Queensland, Australia before moving to South Canterbury, joining Apex Environmental mid 2013. Her desire to help make a difference for the New Zealand environment sees her fit very well into the Apex Environmental team where she provides executive support to Steve and Matt, helps in sales, coordinates marketing activities and ensures the office runs smoothly.
Rachael ThurlowAccounts Admin
Rachael joined Apex Environmental in March 2018. With 25 years of experience working in accounts and office administration along with marketing and graphics, Rachael brings a wealth of knowledge and support . At Apex her role is accounts payable/receivable and office administration.
Alastair RidgwayGeneral Manager Finance & Administration
Alastair is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has 30 years experience working in a variety of industries covering corporate and management accounting. Alastair is currently the Financial Controller for Citycare Group, which is a major shareholder in Apex Environmental. Under a shared services arrangement with Apex, Alastair works closely with the Apex Environmental Board advising on all financial and governance matters.
Donna BurtHealth & Safety
Donna’s role within the Citycare Group is H&S Systems and Communications Manager. She holds a PGCert Health Sciences (OHS – Otago University) and GDip Business Studies (Massey University) Donna has worked in a variety of Health and Safety roles over the last 20 years, including at WorkSafe NZ in the Canterbury Rebuild Programme, ACC, Environment Canterbury, Christchurch City Council and consulting for a number of private businesses. Donna also currently lectures in the distance learning programme in the Health Sciences Department at Otago University.
