We are thrilled to have been selected by Fonterra to provide the wastewater treatment system for the new mozzarella plant currently under construction at Clandeboye.

In what has been described as the single biggest food service investment in NZ dairy history, the $240m mozzarella plant will be the third such plant built at the Clandeboye site and is part of Fonterra’s V3 strategy to deliver high value products to offshore markets.  The new wastewater treatment system is key to ensuring the new cheese plant operates in a sustainable manner.

In keeping with a local approach to deliver the overall product, Apex will be utilising local contractors already familiar with the site to complete civil, mechanical, electrical and automation work packages.  We look forward to successfully delivering this project in terms of quality and health & safety performance, having previously completed projects on operational sites for Fonterra.

“We are very excited to be involved in such a significant project for our region,” says Apex General Manager, Steve Kroening.  “Our staff will enjoy working on a project only 20 minutes from our office.”
