- Location: North of Sydney, NSW
- Project type: Retrofitting an existing wastewater treatment plant
The Terrey Hills Golf Course, which sits just north of Sydney, opened in 1994. When the Club realised that its aging wastewater treatment was under-performing, it decided the best option was to retrofit the BioGill above ground bioreactors to the existing plant.
The plant uses six BioGill Towers and four custom made submerged modules to treat 40,000L/d of sewage from a residential estate and wastewater from the restaurant kitchen and toilets in the Club. The treated wastewater is reused for sub surface irrigation within the estate.
