Apex Signs Distribution Agreement for Flat Sheet Membranes1 December 2010 Apex is pleased to announce it has signed a distribution agreement with technology development company SINAP for supply of its flat sheet membrane units throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands. SINAP have been developing flat sheet membrane units for membrane bioreactors since 2002, and now have a large number of successful reference sites for both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment of up to 3,800m3/day “This is an exciting development for Apex,” says Managing Director Matt Savage. “The costs associated with membrane bioreactors are now at the point where the technology is now a viable option for a wide range of wastewater treatment applications. The ability to manufacture membrane modules locally and incorporate SINAP membranes into these results in a very competitively priced solution for the end user.” Apex will use the membranes within their own MBR systems as well as supplying to external parties. A trial plant is now available for parties who wish to undertake pilot plant trials of this technology. |
