    Winery wastewater treatment system

Design, build and commission (secured through tender process)

Already accredited by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand, the winery wanted their wastewater (including septic waste) to be treated to a level far exceeding that required by the industry and local authorities. To achieve these targets, the heart of the treatment plant is a membrane bioreactor (MBR). The system also includes a wastewater receival sump and pump station, rotary screen, settling and balancing tanks, and a treated water tank with discharge pumps for connection to the irrigation system. The system is controlled by a PLC with both local user interface and remote access system fitted to allow Apex personnel to monitor and operate the plant via the internet from anywhere in the world.
