The Watercare Clarks Beach MBR portable treatment plant project has reached a major milestone, with fabrication and fit-out of the two containerised treatment units now complete and ready for dismantling and delivery to Clarks Beach in the North Island.

These portable MBRs, designed and built by Apex, have a low impact on the environment, with all pumps and equipment housed in the containers, ensuring they can be easily picked up and transported to another site as and when required.

Two of our Auckland-based team, Senior Project Manager Kennedy Boakye and Design Engineer Nathan Ton, have overseen the delivery of civil works on site ahead of the arrival of the containers.

These enabling works have included excavations, the placement of nibs for the containers and slabs for ancillary tanks. This means of project delivery ensures minimal on-site works for the treatment plant, which minimises time-on-site and allows commissioning activities to commence soon after delivery.
